a House is not a home

So, I think we're going to buy a house. I've been hesitating mentioning it to anyone or anysite because I don't want to jinx it, but we put a bid in on a house in the North Hills. It's not that big, but it's cute, in a decent area, we can afford it and we'll be paying the same amount each month for a mortgage that we're currently paying in rent except we'll own the thing. Oh, and no one will live underneath us or beside us or on top of us. I say it's a win win win win win situation. I'll go into more detail when I know more. (cause you know we're going to need help moving! ha ha)

I found out that my band's CD is going to be put out by Get Hip Records this fall. That's good news. I'm not actually on the CD, but I do play the same songs live. So I'm assuming there will be some kind of record release party sometime in the near future, probably in November or so.

Speaking of bands, the Nixon Clocks show is set for the Rex on the 17th. There was talk of doing it at the Hard Rock for a week or so, but they were waaaaaaaay too concerned with how much beer they'd sell, so we stuck with the original venue. I think the Rex will be a cool place for this show, anyway. The Distractions are going to kick off the evening, then Dharma Sons, then us. Don't miss it!
