I should have been alerted when my 6’, 170lbs. husband dropped 40 pounds in a month. Nope! Not me. When I first heard the word CANCER, I imagined how I was going to shimmy up the protective netting on the Golden Gate. At that point, I hadn’t said anything, but I knew a baby was with me – no tests, no doctors – just a sense of life. So, I decided to believe – nothing bad could happen – we were about to be parents… I could see the fear in his sweet eyes. He told me he was sorry. I remember my eyes stinging, swallowing my tears, shaking my head “no”. I simply said, “This is not going to happen.”.
